We're excited by the great response to Groupon and can't wait to welcome you to one of our classes.
We've put together a little FAQ sheet that should answer most of your questions. Q. What languages can I study with my Groupon?
You can use your Groupon for Total Beginner classes in French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.
Q: How do I enroll?
To enroll in a class, click on the language of your choice from the list below. If you see a class you would like to enroll in, click on "enroll now" and follow the steps. When you get to the payment page, be sure to check Gift Certificate/Coupon and enter your Groupon number in the box below.
Q: I am not a Total Beginner, what can I do?
Your Groupon is only valid for TOTAL BEGINNER classes so you may want to take this opportunity to try out a new language! If you are interested in an above-beginner class, you are welcome to fill out our self-evaluation
form at: http://abclang.com/group_eval.htm. Regular group rates will apply, minus the registration fee, which is covered by your Groupon.
Q: I don't see a schedule that works for me, what should I do?
We have new classes starting each month. Let us know which days and times work for you by filling out our scheduling survey: http://abclang.com/survey.htm . We will keep this in mind when setting future classes.
Q: I have enrolled online, now how do I get my materials?
We will have your materials waiting for you on the first day of class. There is no additional fee for materials.
Q: How much will I learn in 6 weeks?
In 6 lessons, you will get an introduction to the language and learn a few of the basics. Becoming truly fluent in a language is a long-term adventure, so this is an opportunity for you to try it out, get some basic skills and see if you are inspired to make this a part of your life.
Q: What happens when my 6 week enrollment ends and I want to continue?
Most students continue studying their language of choice beyond 6 weeks. When you finish your enrollment, your group will continue (as long as a minimum of 3 students remain enrolled) and you may choose from one of our enrollment packages. You will NOT have to pay the $50 registration fee, as that was covered in your Groupon deal.
Q: I haven't heard back from anyone yet. When should I expect to hear back?
As you may know, Groupon is wildly popular. The first few days after the offer goes out, our staff may be a bit swamped. Rest assured, we will be in contact soon. We will be handling immediate enrollments for upcoming
classes first, and then future enrollment questions thereafter.
Q: Who are your teachers?
Our teachers are professional instructors with a minimum of 2 years teaching experience before they start with us. They are native speakers or have equivalent fluency. Our teachers are familiar with multiple methods of language instruction and follow our communicative and learner-centered approach.
Q: When are you open? Can I come by to see the school?
Our main office is open from Monday to Thursday 10am-7pm, Friday 10am-5pm. We'd be happy to meet you but ask that you wait a couple of weeks as we really want to prevent a stampede. If you have any questions, you can always email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Q. I enrolled for a class that hasn't started yet. Can I transfer to another class?
in order to transfer your enrollment, you must do so at least seven days before the start date. Any subsequent withdrawal from a contracted course, for whatever reason, will result in forfeiture of the total cost of enrollment.
Q: What happens if I cannot use my enrollment by the expiration date on 9/19/12?
We will, of course, accept the dollar value of your Groupon toward any of our programs and the $50 registration fee will be waived for group classes. However, you will need to pay the price difference between your Groupon value and the regular rates.
Q: What happens if I miss a class?
Just like a college class, if you miss the class, you miss the class. There are no make-ups. However, upon request, we can e-mail you the material covered so you can do self-study to catch up.
Q: What if I discover I cannot finish out my enrollment?
You will forfeit the rest of your enrollment. Try to pick a course you are sure you can take from start to finish.Keep in mind that enrollments are for consecutively scheduled classes.
Q: What should I do if I want a refund?
Your enrollment was purchased through Groupon. You will need to contact them with any questions regarding a refund. ABC Languages is unable to issue any refunds.
